Clinical Applications
Traditional: Shaoyang pattern with heat and stagnation in the yangming.
Alternating chills and fever, bitter taste in the mouth, chest fullness and distention, epigastric tightness and distention, irritability, pain in the chest, rib side tension and discomfort, sluggish bowel movements, yellow tongue coating, wiry forceful pulse.
Modern: Cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, enteric fever, fatty liver, gallstones, gastritis, hepatitis, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, irritable bowel syndrome, obesity, pancreatitis, scarlet fever, sluggish bowels.
