【Indications】
Traditional:
1. Vital qi and body fluids injured by heat marked by fatigue, shortness of breath, sweating, dry throat, thirst, and a weak and thready pulse.
2. Both Lung qi and Lung yin deficiencies due to chronic cough marked by cough, scanty phlegm, shortness of breath, spontaneous sweating, dry mouth, ruddy tongue without much saliva, and a weak, rapid, or weak and thready pulse.
Modern: Myocardiac infarction, angina pectoris, shock, hypotension, arrhythmia, epidemic hemorrhageic fever, heatstroke, and cor pulmonale.
