Herbal Medicine Can Relieve Endometriosis
A new herbal medicine has been produced for endometriosis treatment. It is going to be the relief of endometriosis patients.
Endometriosis is a gynecological disorder that the type of tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the uterine. As many as 6% of women are suffering from this condition.
"We often find endometriosis on the ovaries, the outside of the uterus, the bladder or the bowel," says Dr. Alejandra Alvarez, a physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology on staff at SSM.
Women with endometriosis may experience dyspareunia, dysmenorrhea, non-cyclical pelvic pain, and subfertility. There was no cure for endometriosis except for some management to control symptoms. Hornome-regulating medications are often suggested aiming at reducing endometriosis symptoms. Surgery may also be recommended when other treatment plans have failed to help.
"A newly produced herbal medicine has been proved effective in controlling endometriosis symptoms," says Dr. Lee Xiaoping, a physician and herbalist from Wuhan Dr. Lee's TCM Clinic, "Some women even get free from the disease after medication."
The formula for endometriosis is produced by Dr. Lee based on nearly 30 years of clinical research. Radix Bupleuri (Chai Hu), Tuckahoe (Poria, Fu Ling), Radix Scutellariae (Huang Qin), Gardenia (Zhi Zi), Atractylis Ovata (Bai Zhu), and Angelica Sinensis (Dang Gui) are some of the major herbs in the formula.
"This is going to be the hope of patients, who wants to have their disease cured," says Dr. Lee.
